Silky gel-creamWhat's in the bottle
Every ingredient is on the label. Here is what each one is for.
- Magnesium chloride
- The mineral found in Dead Sea salt, at 10,800 mg per bottle. It helps skin hold on to water, so it feels soft and supple rather than tight.
- L-theanine
- An amino acid from green tea leaves that conditions skin, for a smooth, supple feel.
- GABA
- An amino acid made by fermentation that conditions skin, for a softer, smoother feel.
- Taurine
- An amino acid that helps skin hold on to moisture.
- Coconut- and olive-derived emollients
- Light oils from coconut and olive. They give the cream its silky slip, without a heavy finish.

Lavender and lamplightTake your time with it.
Three small steps for the last hour before bed.
Lights low.
After a warm shower, turn the lamp down and sit somewhere soft.
Smooth it on slowly.
Warm a pump between your palms, then long, slow strokes over shoulders, arms and legs. Magnesium chloride helps skin hold on to moisture.
Phone away.
Face down, out of reach. Soft skin, a trace of lavender, and the day left where it belongs.
About two minutes. The rest of the evening is yours.
A Canadian company.
Labelled in English and French. That is why every box says bonsoir.
Questions
Where and when do I use it?
In the last hour before bed, after a warm shower while your skin is still a little damp. Smooth it over your shoulders, arms and legs.
Does the magnesium absorb through my skin?
The science on that is unsettled, so we don't promise it. We use magnesium chloride because it helps skin hold on to moisture, and that part you can feel. Our Research page has the studies, for and against.
Will it help me sleep?
Soirly is body care, not a sleep aid, and we won't tell you otherwise. What we can promise is soft skin, a soft scent and a few minutes that are yours. If sleep is a real struggle, talk to your doctor.
Will it feel sticky or greasy?
It's made as a light gel-cream with a silky finish, so it shouldn't feel tacky like a spray or heavy like a thick lotion. Give it a moment, then slip into pyjamas.
How long does a bottle last?
About six weeks of evenings.
Is it OK for sensitive skin?
Try it on a small patch of your inner arm first, and avoid broken or freshly shaved skin. For external use only. Contains soybean oil.
